Probably not. After washing, you mouth and tongue just have so much more bacteria, a persons anus might get an infection or something.
The practice is more common among straight people, btw.

After a good, thorough enema and more vigorous washing, rimming is, indeed, fairly hygienic. Feces isn't stored in the first two or three inches of the rectum, and after good cleaning, things are usually fine.
Of course, there is always a chance for infection and sickness, so it's probably best to use a dental dam or Saran wrap to rim, just to be sure and careful.

As long as neither person has any open cuts,wounds etc. in the "target area",no communicable diseases,(HIV,Hepatitus,etc)and you wash prior,it shouldn't hurt you. Obviously you shouldn't comsume any fecal matter, but even that isn't dangerous in itself.Your bung hole can be cleaned as well as any other part of you body.

Doestn't sound too healthy to me, as the microbes that belong in that area of the body are different from the microbes that belong in the other area of the body. Those who want to do it, tho, that's their business.
