definately not A -- Thats nonesense (weight = you + life jacket)
Could be B
definately not C -- Again wouldn't make sense cuz it would sink just like you do
definately not D -- so what if it does, you still go down cuz gravity and sink to bottom... it'd repel the water underneath you and must end up above.... you don't float in mid air.

It is B, and for more reasons then process of elimination. Life jackets are less dense then water, they float. We are more dense then water, we sink. With life jackets on we float, therefore we must be less dense then water with them on.

None of the above. A life jacket makes you float because the material it is made of is very bouyant. The same thing would happen to you (you would float) if you were to hold onto other very bouyant objects. Say for example a vessel of compressed air, or an inflated car tire tube.

The bouyancy of the object has enough additional capacity to float you as well as what ever it weighs is the principle involved. A life jacket is most easily worn and adaptable to our bodies as opposed to many other objects that could be used.

c.. kinda
the life jackets density is alot less then water so it floats, therefore, and it is so much more dense that it lifts you up to
