this virus is transfered automatically to ur contacts when u get it no matter if ur talking to them of not. it looks like this:*cough* and then a website that usually has ur email in it. it gives the computer popups so i heard, but i would really like to be able to delete it. please help. btw. i dont think antivirus detects it.

I have norton antivirus and i have no clue to what the name of the virus is.

Oh, this. As well as you don't click on the link your computer will be fine. Your friend have to get rid from it by reformatting their PC and after reformatting, install an anti-virus software, firewall and an anti-spy software. Anti-virus software can't block it because it's parent application is MSN Messenger.

Please tell the website it sends so we can check what is it in the website and what it does.

You did no longer specify what this hyperlink sais and the place it went to. attempt uninstalling MSN and reinstalling it. If nevertheless no good fortune, reinstall domicile windows.

An obvious answer would be to have anti virus software such as Kaspersky Anti Virus, BitDefender or Norton.

We would however need to know the virus to advise you, such as it's name

you have been infected with the IMprofile virus. here is the official fix from msn.

i used it and it works great. i also ran ad-aware and avg anti virus to make sure it was gone.

its spyware, download and run both 'spybot' and 'adaware'
