portsmouth is a team, taht isn`t a big team
but they bought good players as, kanu, benamin, pedro medendes, matew taylor, lauren and sol campbell
i thought portsmouth could get champions leaguer
but now, the can`t do it
i want they get uefa cup
and you???

I like Portsmouth `cause they gave a second chance to all those players, from Kanu to Campbell to Mendes; they play continentaly (to use a term the british like so much) and have that I-don`t-have-a-sh""-to-loose spirit. They started strong but looks like they`re running out of steam, so i think they won`t make the final cut for the uefa cup, but there`s still the intertoto cup for them. I would love to see them play in europe next season... er, i don`t root for them, but, whatev, come on you Pompey!

Portsmouth do have a chance of qualifying for the uefa cup but not the champions league next season.. The team is too shallow.. Players like Kanu, taylor or campbell aren't enough to win them prestigious awards like the uefa cup..

They definitely can get in the Uefa cup but need to show the form of earlier in the season. Kanu and Lua Lua are the main hopes up forward with the strong backbone which started the season.

I don't they r good enough to play in the UEFA cup. Maybe with a couple of more good signings, they can qualify for it next season. They r not far from having the quality in their squad to play in the UEFA cup.
Harry Redknapp has done a magnificent job at Portsmouth this year. From the jaws of relegation to the brin k of Champions League qualification!!! Absolute turnaround I say! Hats off to him.

They have to qualify before they have a chance to win the Cup & thats not goign to happen this year. They had a great start this year but they just dont have enough talent to keep up with Everton, Spurs, Bolton & Blackburn. If they bring in some more talent for next season & build on their succesful campaign I think they can contend for a UEFA Cup birth in the near future but not right now.

I was hoping they would make it but am not sure if they will. If not they could try going throught the Intertoto Cup to qualify for the UEFA Cup

I think this will depend on how they handle their last games as things now are just getting more and more difficult.
They are a small side with big players which make them big enough to qualify for the europe.

the first answerer is stupid.. they're not in the uefa cup now, he was asking wether or not you think they'll be able to get a uefa place next year..!!
the answer is probably not. unless its through the intertoto cup..

ye i like portsmouth harrys done a fantastic job there . theres a possibility theyll make it its going to be tight if not this year should do it next year
