one blood and two urine, just to be positive. Blood came out positive and so did one urine, but the other was negative. Im still a bit confused, even though i have some symptoms, so i made a appt. with a obgyn next week. What are the chances that I'm pregnant and what should I expect at the gyn?

i used to work at a lab where they test blood. here is how it works, a urine test measures as low as 64 (aprox i havent worked there in a couple years) hcg a blood can measure as low as less than 5hcg. if you got a blood test positive you most likely are, probably not very far along tho, cause after a week or so your hcg (hormone they look for that your body produces when preggers) skyrockets. i predict that if you took another urine test even a few days later even at home you would get a good strong positive. the gyn will take another blood and probably urine sample and when the results come back she will probably do a pelvic exam, listen for a heartbeat andmeasure the distance from your pubic bone to your belly button and give you an estimated due date. she will follow up in either every month or every couple weeks (till you get further along then it will be more often the closer you get)

On the Internet are the ranges for HCG for each week of pregnancy. Get a copy of the results of your first blood test to take to the ob/gyn so she/he can interpret the results.
If you don't want to wait to go the ob/gyn, you can go to Wal-Mart right now and buy pregnancy test strips and do further tests.
Often the first stick turns out negative due to too little HCG and then that can be followed by positive results. That is what probably happened to you.

the blood test is the most accurate. If it was positive, you're probably pregnant! Congrats! The hormone level in your urine can fluctuate during the day, so if there wasn't a lot of the HGC in your urine, you could have just gotten a false negative. Good Luck!!

If your blood came back positive you're most likely pregnant. Urine samples are not always right but blood samples are so expect to be told that you're pregnant.

if the blood test came back positive then you are probably pregnant. What did the dr that gave you the blood test say? That is odd that he wouldnt explain anything to you.

Chances are, you are pregnant. Blood tests can be wrong on occasion, (and so can urine tests,) but that is rare.

i am so happy for you, now comes the time to eat well to make sure your offspring is born healthy, now if the blood one came out possitive then you are trully knocked up. i know this because the same thing happened to my wife
