Okay Madagascar is an island but not part of the mainland. Egypt is part of the mainland and it also has some islands. But if this is a trick question and I think it is I would say Lesotho. Though not technically an island surrounded by water it is completely surrounded by South Africa making it an island of sorts.

Madagascar is an island that is also a country in Africa. It is not part of the mainland, because it is an island.

It's either Madagascar or Lesotho. Madagascar is an island and part of Africa, but Lesotho is somewhat an island beinsurrounded by South Africa and part of the mainland. I would stick with Lesotho.

Equatorial Guinea is one of the smallest nations in Africa. The country's territory (continentally known as Río Muni) includes a number of islands, including the sizable island of Bioko where the capital, Malabo (formerly Santa Isabel), is located.

The best choice is Tanzania. Tanzania was formed about 40 years ago when the nations of Tanganyika (on the mainland) and Zanzibar (an island off the Tanganyika coast) united.
