If these people are your "friends", you need to leave them behind and find some genuine friends. Also, don't always be concerned about what other people say about you. You should like yourself for who you are, not what other people say you are.

Who are these people? Is it at your job? Is it keeping you from advancing? Consider if what they say is true. If so do something about it. Sometimes our worst enemies are our greatest allies, they tell us the truth. Don't withdraw from constructive criticism. Use it for your advantage, keep these truth telling people close, ask them specifics of what they mean and take some speaking lessons or take their advice about how you can improve. Then you will feel a whole lot better than you do now. Accomplishments raise our self-esteem more than anything. Go for it. Good luck.

It's been said that the English language is by far the most difficult language to use properly. One thing you might try is reading other's published speeches, even politicians! That way you could learn the skill of plausible deniability as well...just kidding. But I would suggest plenty of reading, but do not feel bad about not speaking well, again; english is a real bite in the asc!

First, please don't take it for granted, rather you should take it as wise information and use it as a reminder to improve yourself. Two, such a comment is partially true, it does not infer 100% true since it comes from some people and it's their opinion, thus it doesn't mean it's a fact. Three, be positive about yourself and practice more with your teachers or some with expertise. In sum, you can improve your talking unless you believe what they say; you listen to the words but you can pretend not to hear them.

Who are "people"? Maybe you need to hang out with someone who values you for the person you are, rather than criticizing you.

Consider seeing a speech therapist, if you are still in school it is possible it may be free or you can just deal with it.

Toastmasters provides the opportunity to improve your speaking ability. If what others say is true, then do what you need to do to improve yourself.
