If your babies schedule is set as well as it sounds, then you are doing everything right. Some people say it is bad to let food be the last memory before bedtime, bc when they wake up they will not go to sleep without food. But isn't that wey babies wake up anyway?
You're fine.

I think its fine. I did that with my first and he slept great until he started teething. Then he was waking up a few time in the night and wanting to nurse. This was OK by me. I finally had to wean him off the night feedings when I was pregnate again and was sooo tierd. The second one I put to bed awake and the same thing happened. He woke up several time in the night when he started teething. I am now weaning him off of night feedings and it's alot harder this time. Don't know what I'll do next itme but you have to do what you feel is right. Your the Mommy.

Your baby is still young enough that it won't hurt. All you are doing is comforting your baby to sleep! How dare you (joke)!! I plan on doing the same thing with my two month old until she is about six months and then put her down to sleep when she is dozing. But anything you do for your baby is going to be good, you sound like someone that has their child in their best interest. Go with what you feel.

I work in a daycare with about 15 babies enrolled. Except for the 3 or 4 older ones that are almost a year, almost every single baby falls asleep with the bottle in their mouth. Thats just what babies do! you probably couldnt stop her if you wanted to. lol

Thats how babies are meant to go to sleep. Breastfeeding is great because it so natural and allows us to comfort our children so easily.
My daughters were nursed to sleep from birth. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. If it gets baby to sleep which in turn allows you to sleep, where's the problem? It does not have any ill effect on their physical health or their emotional health.
Do what works for you and YOUR baby.

As mothers, we have all been critisized for one thing or another. But as a rule, you really should not nurse your baby to sleep. When she falls asleep, any unswollowed liquid remains in her mouth. Even though she probably doesn't have any teeth, this can lead to tooth decay down the road.

My son is 11 months old and I nurse him to sleep. My mom doesn't criticize me about it but I know mil doesn't approve. She and I have different parenting styles but she did it her way with her babies and I'm doing it my way with my babies. You should tell that to your mother. Best of luck.
