You'd be pulling for a long time. Alligators average 80 teeth... and five sets of those 80 teeth to last a lifetime, so if you wanna wait around for 400 teeth to grow in, feel free.
Now, I wanna clear something up. Several years back, the University of Florida did an experiment, they made a hydraulic bite-meter and took it to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm to test the bite pressure of alligators. The average adult alligator, when giving a warning bite, pegged this machine at 2000 psi. They decided to up the ante, got one of the biggest gators in the park mad and stuck this thing in his mouth.
It was built to withstand 5000 psi...
It broke.
That's like getting your hand/foot/arm/leg/head/whatever caught in a hydraulic press in a machine shop, whether there's teeth or not won't help your situation much.
Oh yeah, and don't go messing with alligator's teeth, they need them more than you need them out. Alligators have teeth, it's part of who they are.
Edited to add....
Boxerowner, I'm sitting here looking at the skulls and taxidermied heads of 5 former nuisance alligators in this room of the house alone. You can't believe everything you read online. At any given time, alligators have about 80 teeth in their mouth... 20 on the left side of the upper jaw, 20 on the right side of the upper jaw, 20 on the left side of the lower, and 20 on the right side of the lower. Five sets of these 80 teeth for their lifetimes, equals out to 400 teeth for their entire lives, and yes, old old alligators can and do run out of teeth, they don't get thousands.
Anyway, I found several other "facts" that need to be addressed on that page as well, just try to find things that can actually be backed up by other websites.... for example, Pelican Island was -the- first refuge set aside by Theodore Roosevelt, not the Everglades like that site claims.... Oh well...

Alligators go through about 3000 teeth in a lifetime, You can pull them out and they will regenerate.
That number again was three thousand teeth over their lifetime. I am going to copy and paste a paragrah from this website, http://www.shannontech.com/ParkVision/Everglades/Everglades.html
"Of course, the teeth are among the most impressive features of the 'gator. It has 400 teeth each in its upper and lower jaws, and it is able to regenerate new teeth after old ones fall out. All of the teeth are sharp--it possesses no molars at all. The strength of the jaws is awesome--as much as 3000 pounds per square inch."

Whats incorrect with a number of you?? Pulling out ANY animals teeth is a distinctive case of cruelty to animals. additionally, as stated by employing others, crocodiles and alligators are no longer pets. in case you attempt to maintain one as a puppy and get bit, score one for the croc!!

It is not so much how sharp they are as the immense pressure they can apply - and then spin themselves around to initially dislocate and then break your arm. Within a second or two
the fact that your arm has been crushed and then broken / severed instead of pierced, crushed and broken/severed may end up being more to do with semantics than anything practical :)
But yes, you could in theory remove their teeth or make them blunt.

Why don't we pull out all of your teeth? Alligators aren't pets. Leave them alone, for crying out loud. What's the matter with you?
