OK, I saw this show once, I don't know which station or when it was made, but it has a lot of computer generated graphics, and the space ship looked kinda like a dragonfly, and was alive I think. It seems like this may have been an aussie or british production, but I dunno...
I know it's not farscape (which also has a living bug-ish ship)
I'm gonna go completely crazy unless you can tell me what show this is...
No spoilers please, but I would like to know if it has an ending, or if it stops at a cliffhanger.

That was the show called Lexx. Use to come on the Sci Fi channel. The ship called the Lexx looked like a giant wingless dragonfly. That was one freaky show never got into watching that one. Ok there are two possibles. the first is firefly, which had a movie out 2 years ago, but you would most likely know that one. The second was Lexx, which was a Canada, I think it had a mini series called Tales from a parallel Universe first, and then became a Lexx: the series. Mostly because you said UK or canada, this would that show, and it was a dragon fly ship, that lived(like farscape) not a firefly.

Lexx has a dragonfly-like living planet destroying ship. The series ran several years.
Firefly is a run-down non-living cargo ship that does look a bit like a firefly. The series was cancelled mid-year, later made into the movie "Serenity". The links have pictures of the ships.

It sounds like Firefly. I never actually watched the show but I have heard awesome things about it. Three random people enthusiastically recommended to me. Its supposed to be really well written. One of these days when I'm not broke, I want to buy it on DVD.
