My parents live in Hialeah and they have a section 8 voucher. I'm moving to Orlando,Florida and I was wondering if it can be transfered over there so they can move close to me. They are in their 70's and I would like to have them close.
I can't get a straight answer from the Hialeah office. They say that they are not allowed to move farther than 10 miles from Hialeah, but that is not what I understand when I read the section 8 rules . Can somebody help me ?

You need to make some calls and find out more. Call the Orlando office and see if they can tell you more than the Hialeah office did. If not go to the State website and see what you can find there.
Since a section 8 is usually linked to a specific apartment or building you may not be able to transfer them from one city to another.
