Lately it seems like every time you turn around there is a new case of some sick pervert molesting a child. I am interested in knowing if other countries are facing what seems to be an epidemic in our country and do you feel that western culture is the culprit?

Child molestation is like being an alcoholic. You are actually born that way, but doing something with it is a matter of choice. They have molesters everywhere in the world, we just happen to think that it is fashionable and advertise it a lot.

Child molesters have always existed. And they are in most, if not every, nation and culture. It's just that there is a greater awareness of the problem today in our nation.
The bad thing about our culture is that these perverts are even allowed to draw breath.

I think there has always been a lot of child molestation, and it happens in all countries.

I don't think so. Most other countries don't have the same rules we do about this. Most places say that is okay for a teenager to marry. We say it's molestation. Maybe we are just making a bigger deal out of it then most places.

This happens more than you think, and has been happening more than you think since ancient times.
