i have a word document but I'm looking to make it look less plain by putting those lines at the top, the fancy curving lines.....how do i do that?

I'm looking for those fancier lines like those you see on top of wedding invitations and such

Click on the Insert menu and choose Picture - AutoShapes. Click on the last option for More AutoShapes and scroll through until you see Dividers & Decorations. Choose the shape you want by clicking on it. This will insert one shape onto your page. You may want to resize the shape at this stage, do this by clicking and dragging on a corner handle. Copy the shape and click on Paste until it reaches across the top of your page. You will now have a fancy border at the top of your page.

you can go to insert -> auto text -> header & footer.... :)
