When I first read a coment by sombody that says Cena is a better wrestler than Benoit I almost literally died of laughter. You people got to be joking right?! I didn't think anybody no matter how young was that gullible! You do know that Benoit is an actual wrestler with amatuer backround don't you? You do know he has one more "Best Technical Wrestler" awards than anybody in the history of pro wrestling don't you? You do know that he has held a wrestling title's (including the World Heavyweight Championship and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship) 36 times in his career don't you? You do know he was the youngest to be inducted into the Wrestling Obsever Hall of Fame ever don't you? You do know he was voted "Most Outstanding Wrestler" from different groups four times (which is unprecidented) in his career don't you? You do know he is the second most respected pro wrestler not only to the fans but to other wrestlers all around the world don't you?

You do know that he hold's numerous wrestling records in many areas in wrestling and that he hold's the record for most votes (72%, and the next in line isn't anywhere close) to be voted the Pro Wrestling Illustrated "Wrestler of the Year" don't you? Now we all know Vince is going to have his poster boy Cena win because Vince doesn't want to show Cena for what he really is, which is a mediocre wrestler, but seriously Cena fans I am begging you to answer how on Earth you think Cena is better than Benoit?

I am a "Old School" wrestling fan. I have been watching pro-wrestling since the late sixties when I was just barely out of diapers.
I don't see John Cena as anyone close to Chris Beniot to wrestling skills. The only reason Cena is where he is at is that he is popular with the young fans. If it wasn't for that, he would be lucky if he wasn't on the bottom end of the card.
I don't hate Cena but I don't like him either. He (like Hulk Hogan and others) have only certain moves they do and that's it and it gets boring after a while.
Cena is a heavy height Champion but is treated like a mid-carder. Any time he wrestles on Raw, his matches are always right in the middle of the program. If he and his title was so important, his match would be at the end since it would suppose to mean it was the show's main event.
Chris Beniot is old school. He appeared on ECW (where he broke Sabu's neck hence the name Canadian Crippler), WCW (where he was a member of the elite Four Horsemen) and appeared in different organizations around the world to hone his craft.
The problem with Chris is he wrestling in a form that is a dying art. Most fans (mostly young ) think wrestling is kicking, punching, power moves, throwing your opponent over the top rope, crashing through tables, etc. etc. They don't understand that wrestlers are actually suppose to wrestle. Move for move, countermove to countermove. Faces (used to be known as Scientific wrestlers) fighting cleans (following the rules) while heels (bad guys) would do anything to win.
If they tried to have a scientific match only, the company would be booed out of the building. I even had a young man asked me once if they really wrestle sometimes for an hour years ago. I told him they did and they were the best matches I have seen in years.

Well come to think of it, the statement that Cena is better than Benoit makes me laugh hard too! The reason well benoit has already forgotten more than what Cena has learned till now.
Speaking of Cena, I take him as a mid card wrestler not a wwe champion because there is a difference in wrestling and selling products and Cena does the latter.
As for Benoit well his experience speaks for himself and frankly if he get the title people will not be surprised not dissapointed as they know Benoit's capabilities.
Even Bret Hart as commented that he likes the wrestling style of two wrestlers. One is Kurt Angle and the other is Benoit because they are technical fighters like The Hit Man Hart himself.
If Cena would have been just like a normal wrestler, I would have respected him, but I do not respect him (Sorry Cena fans).
Now although I must say the German Suplexes are not powerfull for a pin (on most wrestlers) they inflict way more damage than an FU. Hard to believe as any wrestler what they think of an FU.
The Cross Face is a lot better than the STFU, although I must comment that both can be broken away by wrestlers with huge amount of strength but STFU can be more easily broken compared to the Cross Face.
The Sharp Shooter vs You can't see me: I think it is even pathetic to compare a punch to a legendary move like a Sharp Shooter, though Benoit does not have the same as technique as Bret Hart (they are slighty different as the person under Bret Hart's Sharp shooter could barely move) but I may say that it is the next best thing. Where as a punch is .... just a punch.
Well flame me all you want but I have spoken the facts whether you accept them or not but if you have any doubt you can ask anyone you know who wrestles whether it some star or just a local college wrestling and they will tell you what hurts and what doesn't.
But overall I must say it will be an interesting match when Cena and Benoit collide but we all know the outcome eventually...

Yeah see but that's where you are wrong. Not that Benoit is better than Cena, because clearly he is. You are wrong that the majority of Cena's young fans know anything of wrestling past Cena and any of the other new blood. The younger fans for most part do not identify with the older talent and are therefore blinded by what they perceive to be the truth. Cena is a decent wrestler for what he is supposed to be but he is not in Benoit's class.

Ha anybody but Angle better than Benoit, that's funny. He's held the World Heavyweight Championship 36 times? Holy $#17 where was I during those years? And except for holding Big Gold 36 times, yeah I knew most of that stuff.
I heard once that when Benoit had his tooth knocked out from his dog, he put it in the Crossface and broke his leg. His dog never dared knocking out any more teeth.

Chris Benoit for particular. John Cena is an ok technical wrestler yet he's extra of an all-around wrestler. Benoit replaced into an superb wrestler. i do unlike him as a individual yet as a wrestler, he replaced into great. He replaced into between the perfect technical wrestler. John Cena is a competent all-around wrestler. What I propose is that he's okay at being technical yet common he's not the main technical. he's a wrestler that isn't stable at a particular characteristic yet a wrestler who's stable at distinctive.

well lets put it this way benoit is a great wrestler have amazing skills but he doesnt have the charisma to carry the company on is shoulders he cant give good interviews thats y he was champ fr a short period . wwe is basically wrestling wit storytelling so they need wrestlers *** actors thats where guyz like cena,hhh fit in
