A prof demo'ed polarization with microwaves. He set up a microwave transmitter and a receiver. He then showed us the strength of the waves hitting the receiver. Then, he took a oven rack and placed it in between the transmitter & receiver.

Strength of the signal hitting the receiver dropped by 1/2.
