This latest scandal over the firing of the attorney general is yet another fine example of how crooked the Bush regime is. Sure Clinton fired them to, but did Clinton lie about his motive like Rove has? And to the person who claims Bush has bent over backwards to unite the opposing party, I would love to see some examples please. Your out of your mind.

My biggest problem with W is that he's TOO nice of a guy. Instead of cleaning house like Bill did in '93, he's tried to unite both sides of the aisle. The only problem is, the LEFT didn't get the hint. Every Lib in this country has hated him ever since he -- "supposedly" -- stole the election from deadwood Al (I'm from TN, he's from the Beltway; believe it). Despite winning a Re-election, and improving our economy to the best its been in our 200+ year history, cutting taxes, defending us from terrorism (have they hit us since 9/11? Anyone, anyone?), and providing SNL with at least a few good gags, he is still villified by the Democrats.
As I said, he's "too" much of the so-called uniter. Instead of defending himself, his administration, and his subordinates against his political opponants, and thus entering into a "bi-partisan" political struggle, he and his staff, have made every effort to bend over backwards to kiss the backside of the Democratic party and its leaders. (The one exception, of course, is on the subject of national defense, thank God.)
Of course, this is not enough for them. They want heads to roll. Why else is all of Capital Hill (including the gutless Republicans in the Legislature) up in arms over the recent firing of 8 U.S. attorneys? I don't recall this kind of furor when Bill Clinton axed all NINETY-THREE U.S. attorneys in one fell swoop two months after he took the oath of office. One of whom was investigating allegations concerning the Clintons in the Whitewater scandal.
Here's a question for you: what other U.S. President has had to deal with so many national problems during his administration? NASA problems (the Columbia), terrorism (9/11), natural disasters (Katrina et. al.), war (Iraq and Afghanistan), nation-wide crime (the illegal alien controversy), as well as all of the hostile media and an equally hostile Legislature; all of these have defined George W. Bush's Presidency. Despite all of this, he has continued to reach out to the Democratic party and its constituants, and he has attempted to safeguard this country's security and prosperity.
Perhaps you should look elsewhere for those responsible for the divisions in this country.

Karl Rove and his cronies are great at morphing his candidates into god-like people. They used gay marriage, Iraq, flag-burning, abortion, and other things to split this country right down the middle. He got the christian conservatives to vote for Bush and other right wing senators. These are the same people who turn around and laugh at them behind closed doors. Bush promised them like 800 million dollars in faith based initiatives and they have recieved 1% of that. I am a christian but I can see a hoax when it's right in front of my face. I can't understand why they keep voting for these guys. Don't they feel betrayed by now.

I believe that dividing the country is a tactic...this is my own personal opinion, but I just don't see what it accomplishes. You have the Bush lovers and the anti-Bushies. What does it matter since he can't get re-elected anyway?

Bush hasn't divided us. Terrorism, and disagreements over how to fight it, has. We really need to get together and have a sane conversation about this without resorting to the sick name calling that I see being thrown about on this site. This is serious.
