question about PTC?

we learn about PTC, and I hav to do a survey on people if they can taste PTC or not. I want to know hoe can you tell if a person can taste PTC or not, how many ways are there? i need a simple and easy one. please help!

get a food with ptc in it and without it and see who tastes a difference.
