Id take Soriano any day of the week 40hrs and 40sb is hard to come by granted his batting avg isnt about 280 but i could live with a guy that hits .280 120r,180hits, 40+hrs 100rbi's and snags me 41 swipes

Ryan Howard without a doubt. Soriano is a mistake pitch hitter. Meaning he is good when it doesnt count, such as what Nats had all year. On a Cub team with high expectations and potent lineup Soriano will SLUMP.

Not only is Howard in a batter ballpark, he is younger more upside and a lot of power. He can also hit for average. His Ks will go down this year but power and AVG should be there.

It depends on your league. Keeper leagues is definitely Howard. This year, I'd have to say Soriano. He's got much more help with Aramis, D. Lee, etc.

Soriano will give you much more stats with a slight drop off in HR and AVG. But he'll trump Howard in SB by a lot. Plus you won't have to get a speedster as he's your guy!!!

Howard is better for keeper leagues as he's much younger, stronger, etc. By the way, do we REALLY know how old Soriano is? heheheheh

Soriano - he has the ability to go 50/50 this year which is just tremendous for fantasy baseball... even if he goes 40/40 its worth more to your team that if Ryan Howard hits like 55 HRs.

definitely ryan howard. not only can he hit but he can hit for average. soriano doesnt get that many rbi's and hes average isnt as good. but on the other hand if you already have home run hitters but need stolen bases than u should get soriano but thats up to u.

Soriano because his power is about the same as Howard, but he will get more stolen bases.

I would take Howard. He is such a force. He will only get better. He hits with power to all fields. He has lost some "baby fat" and will be better able to move around the bases. don't look for steals - but he will definitely leg out more of those ground balls to the 2nd baseman in shallow right.

Soriano has good power numbers, but I think that since you start 3+ outfielders - it kind of dilutes out the advantage.

RYAN HOWARD IS THE BOMB! First year - rookie of the year. Second year - MVP. The sky is the limit. He fields well, he has power and he makes contact. This is a no brainer.
