The first statement is false.

Non-desert plants need to have their stomata open during the daytime to maximize the amount of carbon dioxide they take in while they carry on photosynthesis.

its the last one

because in transpiration, water evaporates when there is sun. so the guard cells(stomata!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) may close when the sun is very hot during the day.
