Try to search on the product name in google, the search string should be "product name problem" or something relevant to the product. because there could be others who had the problem, there is a fair chance that some one would post the resolution.

Any way the resolution depends on what the problem is, you can try to use Adaware SE, Spybot Search and Destroy, CWShreadder, CC CLeaner and there could be others... try to use trend micro's online scanner....

I use ScanSpyware. You can get the free version, which identifies but does not remove. I did that and it worked real good for me, good enough that I shelled out the extra 30 bucks and made it a permanent fixture.

You can also try cleaning your registry.

Go to http://www.ccleaner.com/ and download ccleaner.
Don't worry, it's free, and it should help improve some of your computers performance.

You should also buy one of Nortons newest models.

Norton 360
Norton 2007

I have 2007, and let me tell you, it works like a beauty.
I also use ccleaner.

Good luck!
