thanks to those who suggested I give more information. My kids are all grown and gone, money is not an issue. I want a four door only because when I give rides it's a real pain when you get to my age to get into a 2 door. I don't drink so often I am drafted to be the designated driver. I use the car mostly for myself. I don't like four cylinders, I hate to admit it, but sometimes when getting on the freeway I punch it when on a two lane I want to know I'm going to make it while passing before the Semi hits me head on. I know, it's bad for the environment and if I was a careful driver, I wouldn't have to. When the car is full I'm either driving my wife and kids or one or two of my friends to pro sports which means four to eight hour drives for out of town games. We go to about twenty a year.

look at the new Mercedes E350 sedans-they are great luxurious cars, powerful too, give good gas mileage considering their size and power, and are very comfortable even for long trips

The Chevy Impala LS, comes in a V6 but if your wanting more power comes in a v8 also. The Cobalt has a 4 door with as 6 cylinder, Ford Fusion, Dodge Charger, Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, Toyota Yaris, Kia Sorento not sure on spelling, it depends on what you want every car manufacture makes a 4 door maybe not in a 6 but you need to narrow the seach a little bit like do you like American cars do you care about gas milage, Do you have kids do you just want something that you and your buddies can go for a drive and not be jamed in like tuna or what what is it going to be for because your gonna get alot of answers from cars you've never heard of to the Benz's and Bemers.

Your question is far too generic. What do you really want? Do you have kids? If yes, what age? Are you worried about safety? Do you want to support an American company? Do you take good care of your cars? How much money do you think you want to spend? You are going to end up with a ton of answers from Kia to Benz. YOU need to find a car you are interested in and then ask if the "angry mob" thinks it's the car for you.

I think the better buy is a hybrid Camry. Power of 6 cylinder, gas mileage of a 4 cylinder. My brother-in-law (a.k.a. Mr Suburban) bought one, it's really nice.
If you don't want that, go for the Nissan Altima with 3.5 liter 6.
I just bought a 2007 Nissan Maxima SE, I'm not that happy with it, it's a major gas hog (18Mpg) and not as zippy or tight as the 1999 Maxima SE that I before it. It's got some really cool creature comforts though - heated steering wheel for example.

Alright a mustang defintitely does not come in a four door. To name a few good possibilites: Nissan Altima/ Maxima, Honda Accord, or Camery.

Everyone that said Mustang should be shot for obvious reasons. Anyways I'd go with a new Pontiac Grand Prix GT. 260HP while still getting 19/28 MPG...not bad
