I have a PC in my home with a DSL modem (2Wire from AT&T) and I use it to wirelessly connect my laptop to the internet. Can I continue to use the wireless internet if I remove the PC completely?

Sorry I'm not very technology-savvy.

Short answer is yes - if the laptop still works fine when the PC is switched off, it will work when it is absent altogether.

BUT...... you might need to make sure you are happy about making the laptopn connect directly to the DSL unit in case of a problem.

If your unit crashes / needs updating etc then it may not be possible to do this wirelessly - especially if you are updating that part of the firmware!

Just make sure you can make the laptop work when hard wired as well as wirelessly - if you can then yes, you can lose the PC if you want to.

Yes, the laptop is mostly likely not dependant on the PC for anything.

yes as long as the router(the thing that sends out the signals) is connected to the phone line/internet connection
