One could pop up anytime, so be safe no matter what. Hold it until you get there...it's not that far!

BTW it is spelled Corpus Christi and no there is no check point between Houston and Corpus Christi. The Sarita check point is south of Corpus Christi about 2 hours.

Why would you want to know? You do realize, especially with Spring Break starting this week (and running pretty much to the beginning of April), that there are a lot of little towns looking for some revenue. There's nothing to stop one of them from putting a checkpoint out there, or just adding patrol cars to profile certain drivers. Count on lots of radar.
Oh, and "Corpus Christi" is the proper spelling.

Yea cops are bad, you could go to prison for life, I'd find another job dude. Or you could go back to school and learn to spell Corpus Christi.

No checkpoint (hubby was just there 6 weeks ago) 5 hrs. drive...be safe.
