I am 30 weeks now and still taking that vitamin. My doctor told me to just use that one, though I did receive some samples for prenatals, I compared the ingredients and the one a day is much better.
To some other posts: this particular vitamin has 400mg or 100% of daily folic acid

Buy the prenatal vitamins. During pregnancy its not good to get too much Vitamin A, and other certain things. THe regular One a Day is not meant for prenatal. The prenatal will have exactly what you need in them.

You should ask your doctor about this but in my opinion once you had your prenatal check up and you will be given an OB
vitamins then I guess you have to stop taking One a Day for women vitamin. Vitamins for pregnant woman is really intended for the mom and the growing fetus.

A one a day vitamin is not sufficient enough for you and your growing baby. Make an appt. with a obstetrician ASAP and they will guide you through everything and get you started with some prenatal vitamins, ect.

I'm not on any vitamins. I was on folic acid for a few months, but it made me constipated, and I got really sick. My midwife said not to go on vitamins (i hate tabs), just make sure i eat properally. I get blood tests every month to check my levels, but so far all levels have been great, and I'm 35 weeks!!
I dont agree with taking suppliments if it can be helped, as its all artificital crap! I would much rather just eat properlly! But i know that some people need them, and thats cool. Thats just my opinion!
