The driver power seat (which enables the seat cushion to go up and down and driver's chair forward and back) is not working. The passenger's power seat works just fine. My 2004 C240 4Matic has 66,700 miles and just went in for service 3 days ago to change the voltage regulator and battery. However, the driver's power seat worked just fine when I got it back.

Does anyone think it might be the fuse (which is located in a compartment on the left side of the dashboard)? Should I first try changing the fuse, and then the motor?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

You can try changing the fuse. But i doubt it's the motor. I had the opposite problem with the passenger seat in my '99 E320. The driver's seat lost it's memory functions, but worked otherwise. It turned out that there's a computer controlling each seat. They replaced the computer, and it worked fine. I'm afraid this one will require dealer service.

Always go with changing the fuse first. Then get a voltage tester and see if power is even getting to the motor, maybe you just have a bad fuse, maybe the switch went out, maybe a pinched wire somewhere? If not, THEN replace the motor.
