Life is a journey that is written for all of us. Simply living it will achieve the purpose in which you talk about. It is the little things each and everyone of us does that leads to the bigger picture. When your body dies you are at the end of one journey and at the begining of another.

Of course we are searching for something that we will never actually find or achieve! Its all an illusion of the mind.

I know what I want so I've stopped searching, but life is getting in the way of my achieving it.
We're all searching for different things, but I do think most of us are searching for something.

i feel that we will never be satisfied about anything because as soon as we achieve something we yearn for more so as you pointed out the only way we are satistisfied is actually when we have achieved something we did not plan.

Been all around this one for an awful long time.
Finally came to the conclusion that we are always exactly where we intend ( at a higher level, not always the 'conscious' ) be, doing what we intend to do, being what we intend to be.
The overall objective may remain a mystery for most of us, most of the time, but finally, no matter what weird sh*t happens, I realise that the 'why' does eventually make itself known, and that realisation is like a hurricane blowing through one's soggy grey matter.
So my answer now, to anyone in doubt, is to say "Relax into it, whatever it is, and if you don't understand it, just put it in the 'pending file' for now. One day it will reveal itself to you."

WE are all in different ways seeking peace of mind. Of course the seeking stops the achievement of this as seeking is a disturbance of mind. It can only be achieved when we realise this on a deep level. Then the seeking stops. Then we have peace of mind.

I am searching for something that I do hope will be found, but the people around me doesn't want what I am searching for. Those people are concerned for my future, but the thing is, I really do want something to happened that is not sure if it is really going to happen.

People want perfection (achievement) and they spend time and effort searching/yearning for this - which is pointless because perfection is nonexistent - and how can you chase something that doesn't exist.

We may be searching for the meaning of existence and it will be eventually found. We would be foolish to strive for something we didn't want and so its a definite no to your second question

We are all searching for God but we think we find Him in many different ways and many different things. These false ways and false things eventually leave us empty because they are counterfeit.
Thus many feels as if they are constantly searching for something but they don't know what. Or when they get what they want...they find it does not satisfy.
"Our hearts are restless, O God, until they rest in You." ---Saint Augustine
