Why are whites labeled racist when blacks are just as bad?

dont get me wrong. i am friends with many black people. they are the same as me. human beings. around the world out of my shool many blacks say that whites are racist and do everything but black do the same crimes

Look at the numbers. If 40 percent of white people were racist, and 40 percent of black people were racist, there would still be a huge number of white racists compared to black people, who comprise maybe 13 percent of the entire population. (I'm hoping that 40 percent is way too high a percentage for either race.)

That means that there is an overwhelming difference. For instance, suppose that there are 1000 white people in the US. The number of black people would be 130. If 40 percent of whites were racist, then there would be 400 racist whites. If 40 percent of blacks were racist, there would be 52 black racists. No matter how you add it up, there would be 100 white racists to every 13 black racists. Even if ALL black people were racists, and only 20 percent white racists, there would still be more white racists than black.

Black people are outnumbered. Always have been in the US. This means that even a small percentage of white racism can make a huge impact on the entire black population, but even a large percentage of black racism can have little impact on the white population. There has never been a time when the entire white population was racist, and yet the entire black population was enslaved. Is this the fear? Do white people fear that a small percentage of the black population will someday be capable of enslaving the entire white population? If you do not fear this, then what is it that disturbs you about black racism? Did the white race, after releasing the slaves, also change their hearts, their attitudes, their laws, and their thinking? Or, has the black race had to struggle, fight, accept horrific abuse, rise above the sickening hatred, live in fear, and submit, just to be thought of in the way so many whites still do?

Wouldn't some people finally say, "I've had enough. I will no longer try to hide my disgust at these people who refuse to see me as an equal human. I will no longer pretend to respect those who have no respect for me. I cannot rise above it. I have become what they expected of me. Now let them hate me for that, instead of hating me for no reason at all." By the way, that was a quote by an Apache Indian, not a black man.

i'm a white individual in finished want of Romney, yet i do not get why human beings label us 'racist'. If the jobs were reversed and Mitt Romney replaced into doing such terrible issues to our united states, you would possibly want to guess all of you money i'd have supported Obama.

My family is of mixed races. Black, white, Pakistani ... but my black relatives are the first to rebuke the racist forum. Their opinion is that if you have to resort to something as low as racism, chances are you have an issue yourself. I'm not denying the fact there are racists out there, but it goes both ways, black, white, pink and blue. We are all just people. Plain and simple. It's not black and white, just plain ignorance in all departments.

P.S. What about our own aboriginal people? Let's really put some fuel on the fire.

ya know, you are right and it is wrong - in a way....

its kinda more of a respect issue. you see because of this country's history (and im sure there's no need to repeat it here) blacks ( and yes, i am black) do indeed have a respect complex to a certain extent. No matter what we do or accomplish, either as individuals or as a people, we will never be seen as equals by everyone because we are the minority, and our country has that history which was really only 200+ yrs ago.

soooo, if a black dude comes up to you and says "you are a honky, ingnorant, dumb, sumbitch"...you prob wouldnt care because you know its not true, and his opinion doesnt really effect your life; however,

if a white guy goes to a black guy and says, "you are a dumb ******, ignorant, sumbitch" it pisses you off because although you know its not true, you feel like a good percentage of the population thinks it is. if a black guys said it to a black guy, he wouldnt care.

every person, and in particular man, wants respect. no minority ever gets total respect.

Well, I too agree with the statement/question Why are whites labeled racist when blacks are just as bad?
for instance Blacks have the NAACP... is we had NAAWP wed be racist... blacks have Black History Month, thats ok... if we had White History Month, thats racist... Blacks have the Negro College Fund... if we had the White College Fund, or the more politically correct Caucasian College Fund, WED BE RACIST!
But I believe it is all tied into the fact that white people at one point in time where the most virulently racist people on earth... and honestly we still are...
Black people, White people, Indian, Hispanic, Native American, Afghanistan, EVERYONE should just calm the eff down on all of this racism thing... there are MANY people out there, if there is someone who is racist... didn't talk to them... if they are causing you harm due to their racism, contact authorities. There are MANY radio stations, anything you don't like on there, CHANGE IT! Same goes for television, movies, video games. And not just racism but violence and sex and drugs... If people aren't mature enough to handle such things they they aught naught to be exposed to such, but do not cause things to be different because of a select few's faults and deprivations.

except we get the harshest sentence for those same crimes you all commit. who's the racist! we get convicted more of those same crimes that you all get a slap on the wrist for! we get beaten . and we get shot more by the police because ur taught to think that Blacks are somehow inherently dangerous. yet ur trying to label us racist, which when u think about it we can't be because to be racist you have to be the one that's in control and Black aren't , we can be prejudice ,but not racist, look it up!

Please, historically you can see time and time again that whites
are notorious for racist views and motives against other people.
In fact that's how this country was founded, on racist views.
Examples. USA White racism towards Native Americans,
African Americans, Japanese Americans, Mexicans, and now
Arabs. Puerto Rico= Racist Europeans Genicide, Aztecs-
again racist conquering Spainards, India- Racist British with
oppression to the people of the country, remember Ghandi?
Jamaica, Virgin Isles Racism stemmed from British. South
Africa- Racist acitivity among the British. Remember Nazi
Germany? How about the Austrialians, descendant's of the
British with the racist agenda against the Aborigines. Do I
need to go on! I' m not trying to condemn anyone for what
happened many years ago, but there is still this element in
society that fester's social disease of racism, and for some
reason there are many that tend to play it down as if it doesn't
exist, or the feeling it's ok to by ignoring the racist inuendo's
that go on today. Sadly, white people are still passing this
kind of thinking down to their offspring. We know its wrong
or we wouldn't be ashamed to express this publically.

there is no double standard. there are plenty of whites who are racists and there are plenty of black who are racisists and ppl on both sides are willing to admit they are racist. so whats your question? it doesnt matter what race you are, racism isnt just against blacks and racist is only a lable for whites.

Because most blacks want reparations and must keep the idea alive to receive any money in the future...Plus, whites put blacks into physical slavery for over 350 years and legal segregation for over 100 years, its hard to forget and change such strong opinions.
