Worse change: my sister drowned after drinking too much
Best change: after my sister's death, stopped drinking, got out of a hopeless marriage, saved up some money, quit my job, and did what I had always wanted to do: traveled around the US camping and hiking at 20 Nat'l parks...then went home and did what I'd always wanted to try: became a wilderness guide for a few years...loved it and now am very happy.
Sometimes wonderful things do happen after it seems like your life is over.

Both me and my twin told our parents that we are gay. Our Mom was furious and our Dad din't say anything. My brother even had his boyfriend waiting outside for him just incase we got kicked out of the house. I told my parents before they say anything bad about my boyfriend, that they should know that he was in Iraq and that I'm hoping that he came back alive.
Now that we are out of the house, my brother is a very prominent accountant for an accounting firm and his partner is a bakery owner. They're pretty happy.
I just got out of the Navy and my boyfriend came home safe from Iraq a month ago. He's out of the Army now. We bought a house and planning to adopt a kid.

Becoming a Buddhist after over 25 years as a Catholic. It was like jumping into a cool , clear, refreshing, peaceful lake of truth after years in the searing , burning heat of doubt and hopelessness.
