It really depends on what is actually causing your car to overheat. Cars usually dont overheat just because the A/C is not working. The system that cools your engine (which is what is overheating when the guage on the dash reads hot) is totally different than the one that cools the inside of your car. If your car's engine is overheating on a regular basis you need to fix that or you wont have to worry about the radio working because the cylinder head or engine block will eventually crack & the car will no longer run.

That's possible, because there's an optimum temperature range for electronic equipment. But if your car is so hot that the CD player won't work, it's because the car was parked in the sun and got WAY hot, in which case the player needs to cool down from an abnormally high temp, a/c or not. I have a CD player that won't work in the cold; it needs to warm up. It's a problem with the CD player in my case, because it doesn't even work right at first in above freezing temps. You could play around a bit to try and see what's going on by putting a fan on it (from under the dash) and see what happens. If you actually have to refrigerate the unit to get it working, it's the player. If you mean overheating as in you get an engine overheated warning light, that's a problem that's entirely unconnected with this.

Cars cannot overheat because the AC is broken. They overheat beause something is wrong with the cooling system for the engine....take it in somewhere and have them look at it.
But if you just mean the car gets too hot inside...and the CD player fails when it is hot...then it might help.

Maybe, but I would try to cool the CD player itself. Take the CD player out and see if there is room around it to mount a little 12v fan inside the dash with it to keep it cool. AC will only get the inside of your car cool, not behind the dash, unless you unhooked a duct so it blows ac directly on the CD player

Your car does not overheat because you don't have a/c. I would strongly recomend you find out the REAL cause of the overheating problem and worry about your entertainment at a later date. If the engine is overheating, it is going to cost you BIG $$ if it gets too hot.

If that's actualy burning an audio CD, that generally ability replacing the information into .cda format then burning them to disc. in which case, the CD will play on ANY cd participant. If that's in basic terms transfering a similar information to disc (a knowledge CD) then no it received't play on any CD participant. i do not use iTunes myself, yet generally any "Burn to CD" function on any music participant ability the first issue i discussed... it creates a classic audio CD. Any information sucessfully switched over and burnt WILL artwork on any CD participant... for sure that's no longer a guarentee each of the information will successfuly convert in the first position.
