Gay is cool because it deviates from the norm. And people are tired of having to fit the cookie cutter image, and be like everyone else.

Probably way before your time. Elton John and David Bowie were both influential in changing the way society treated gays. You also have to go back to the Stonewall riots where gays finally started fighting for their own self respect.

I don't mind it when people who are really gay act gay. That's who they are and they're being true to their identity.
I do hate it when women who are not lesbians act like lesbians just to entertain some men. That's the stupidest, most subservient new trend and it annoys the living daylights out of me. people should be who they are, not who they think others want them to be.

Oh, I was under the impression that it was still considered "bad" by a lot of people (not all or even most, just a lot). It may just be because I live in the south though...

Being gay is very liberating! I love being out there and "FABULOUS"!!!!!! Some nasty rednecks might call me a "flamer" but they are just jealous of the fun I'm having...and they are still dragiing their knuckles on the ground...heh!

thats a good question, i dont think that there are that many gay ppl but ppl that claim they are gay b/c they want to seem unique and different. what they dont realize is they are not being true to themselves!!
