I want to audition for the Awesome 80's Prom but need a monologue. I found one from The Jerk (That's All I Need). What other suggestions?

Steven W mentioned something important, and so the reason I'm looking for a monologue from an 80's movie is because that is what they are asking for. Otherwise I would look for something else.

Anything from Ferris Beuller's Day off would be good, Breakfast Club, too.

Edit: Red- Too funny! Guess we all know the good ones, lol!

I highly discourage you doing a monologue from any well known movie, actor, etc. If you do something from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" for instance, the entire time the Casting Director is going to be thinking "Matthew Broderick does this so much better". Try to find something more obscure than the usual suspects. Goodluck.

How about from the Breakfast Club or Ferris Buelers Day Off. They are classics. They both have monologues and they are pretty good. You could even go with Grease, but I think that is over done.

Breakfast Club:

Hope this helps!

EDIT: I SWEAR I didn't see other posts before I wrote mine.

The end of Breakfast Club, when Anthony Michael Hall is talking about who the group is. What is is to be a teenager etc..

Good luck :)
