I do love the person but don't feel in love with them. I feel more comfortable with them than anything. I don't feel that's fair to me or them. Is that enough for a person, or do you need to be in love?

Love is something that matures over time. Sadly, some people feel that when they aren't in love with someone that it is time to hit the road. That when they don't feel that zip that it is over. And I guess if what you felt for them was hate, which is the flipside of love and just as strong, then it would be time to move one. The love I feel for my man has grown and is different from what I experienced at the beginning of our relationship. I do look at him and feel that other tingle that lets me know that I am with the right man and that there is nowhere I would rather be than with him. I hope that you figure yourself out and if it means that you will leave your mate, then good luck in your next relationship. But I am not saying you should settle. You should do what is right for you! Good luck!

There's a big difference between being in love and just loving someone. If you aren't truly in love with someone you shouldn't spend your life with that person. You can tell the difference very easily. If you are really in love with some one it is the person you want to spend your life with, it is the person you know is your best friend and you have no doubts about this. There are no questions about knowing if you are not in love any more, you just don't have the same feelings of needing to be with that person all the time any more. When it's true love you have no doubts. If you have questions, it's not the real thing. You may feel comfortable around the person, but you are comfortable around your friends. It's sad when love turns to friendship, but you shouldn't stay with someone just because it is comfortable. Love should be the most exciting thing in your life, even after years and years of being together

Love is a choice. You and your wife need to do the things that you used to when you were dating. Love letters, drives, talking about nothing for hours, going out to dinner, holding hands, making more of an effort to be affectionate, more physical intimacy, and all that good stuff! Try it! She'll catch on! You notice the problem, now you need to do something about it before it goes to divorce court. If you still don't feel anything for her after you start spending more quality time together, then you two need to go get some decent marriage counseling and to learn to be more considerate of each other's feelings and needs. I hope this helps, give it a shot! Would any woman say no to more affection and quality time together? I think not! She'll return the favors and you two can make this a routine in your daily lives! Good luck to you!

It sounds familiar to me, but I don't think that you wrote enough here for me to be able form a balanced answer to that. My feelings changed over the years because my husband refused to discuss issues we had or find compromises. Then the intimacy was gone and I am still in a relationship, thinking that I love him, but I can't possibly imagine being intimate again. I suppose, for a woman it is a true symptom that there is no love - when she can't be intimate with a man. I feel that you are probably jumping into conclusions. I think there must be a way to regain that spark - it's all about the effort, not just how you feel today.

I believe u only fall in love once in a lifetime, if u dont feel u click together nomore, or for some reason, u feel like u fell out of love then it was never love to start with, it was just a long infatuation, that u eventually realised that faded away. i say end it now and dont let time get her more attached to u than she probably already is, it will hurt her now, but it would hurt her more if u guys got even more serious and then u cant take it nomore and u end it there. hopefully u guys arent merried yet. well, good luck on that and make it easy for both of u

if you're married to this person it definetally needs to be love, but don't divorce them just because it;s not. if you divorce them, do it because you feel both of you would be better off without each other.

but if it's just a dating thing being comfortable is the first step to love, give it time and patience and if you're right for each other things will slowly develop into more than just a friendly relationship

if you have a little crush on a girl...
grow up it's not love

I kind of think that if you are asking the question you kind of know what to do. I would day that it is not fair to stay if you are not in love with them, if you have tried to fix it and bring that love and connection back then it is time to go. If you have not that is a place to start.

I think it depends on the relationship which you don't indicate here. I think there are many different levels of love. You are the only one that can decide if being comfortable with someone is fulfilling all your needs. Sometimes it is enough for couples.

real love is not about a feeling or excitement or sparks, its about a decision to stay with them, in spite of the circumstances, true love for another seeks to make the other happy and not yourself.

It depends on what the other persons wants and expects from you. If you know that you can't give them what they need, then it's time to move on.
