Yip, Tracy L is correct, probably DHCP problem. Need to have a DHCP server that's running somewhere, i.e. in your broadband router box. Right click on My Network Places, then right click on the Local Area Connection or Wireless Network Connection, then click Repair. It will start to get a new IP address from DHCP server and if there is a conflict, it will tell you. All other computers should be configured to get IP address from DHCP server.

This can be caused by IP conflicts, although, XP will normally report this it wont if your laptop and the router are on the same IP. (I dont know if this is the issue but well could be.)

Be sure you are set to DHCP - go to the network connections. click on the wireless connector, on the gerneral screen click Internet Settings, check under the Internet Settings (TCP/IP) be sure the check boxes all say DHCP obtain automatically.

This is just a guess but a likely issue.

I have that same problem when using wireless. I'm running Win98SE on the computer that has the problem. I'm thinking that it may be a Win98SE problem. Good luck!
