shifts fine,maybe low on lube?

The stick is all the way forward in those gear selections. If you have an after market shifter knob, it may be too heavy. Also the nylon caps on the shifter forks may be worn through.

Could be bearings going out 4th gear is direct and puts less load on bearing.
