Yes I think that it is. But it is a really good fad. They realize that there are so many children out there in the world that need a good home. They can provide extraordinary homes and lives for these children. I think that it is wonderful. But, they also get front page stories and wonderful publicity by adopting these children. These children help them sell a lot of movies. I see it like this: it's a win, win situation.

This is a good question...yes, I do. It's actually a fad that is a positive thing. I admire people like Angelina Jolie who do it out of love and not for selfish reasons - she didn't have a problem conceiving and she still adopts children.

Yes it is a fad like getting a new puppy every now and then or a designer bag. It's a shame these the kids are the ones who will pay for it in the long run because these people are nuts.

No. It's just highly publicized because they're celebrities. People adopt children every day, and I encourage it as much as possible. I don't know why people assume that every time a celebrity does something good, it's for attention. They can't help but get attention because that's the nature of their business, but there are hundreds of good things they do that aren't publicized as well. Why begrudge them their right to be humanitarians?

NO I don't think it a bad thing. I have noticed that when people become celebrities, they seem to want to help third world children and even kid here in the states. people like Oprah,Danny Glover,Bates,Danny Thomas, etc.,and many other celebrities Start caring about needy children and try to get the rest of us involved and this is a good thing ,and I applaud them for it.

It's mostly human trafficking disguised as adoption.
The countries they adopt from don't care what kind of life the child will have..as long as the price is right.
I don't know of any celeb that has adopted a child in the U.S.
Probably because of their backgrounds and criminal records they are hiding.
