it depends on the movie nowadays. it used to be 17 to buy ur own ticket and 21 to buy more than one ticket. But when txs chainsaw 1 came out in 2004, we had to be 18 just to get tix and you got carded at the booth and at the door of the theatre. talk about b.s.
i heard they are doin the same for 300.

You have to be 17 to purchase a ticket, but you have to be 21 to purchase tickets for people younger than 17.

I always thought you had to be 18 to see an R rated movie and 17 to see and NC 17 movie....maybe they've changed it.
