My ex called me everyday last wk but didn't leave a message.I do not call him. Previous to this he has called me randomly,my bday, 2 wks before his wedding. When I finally gave in and called him back he wanted to chat but soon after we talk about our breakup(he left me). We went out for 5 yrs. He says he will always love me.When I ask him about his relationship with his wife he is very "ho-hum" about it-he says "we have our ups and downs". I still love him ( I have not told him this) and I would never do anything to sabotage their marriage. What is he doing?

He is probably just having some issues in his marriage and instead of trying to work through and fix those, he is thinking back to the times you spent together and is longing for them again.

He should be focusing on his wife instead of you.

Hello how are you doing fine I hope, I understand what you are goind through. All I can say is that your ex stills has feeling ffor you and isn't happy with his new wife well, O cant say hes not happy but he does miss you a lot. Maybe you and him neeed to get together and you just let him say whats on his mind and then tell him how you feel, and yes let him know that you still love him there is nothing wrong with that, Also make sure that his wife is aware of yall meeting and make sure she dosen't mind and if she does yall all go together and just talk. Even though he might have hurt you just dont leave him out there in the cold I hope you understand what im saying. I hope everthing works out good for you and you never know there is problem a real prince chraming out there for you. Make sure you follow your heart.

Means you need to get a new number and let the past go. Lets say his current marriage ends and you both get back together, how long would it be before he thinks his new marriage is "ho-hum" and leaves you again? Remember the first time you snuck out of your house and how hard it was, the second time was far easier. There is a reason why they are called you ex.

He's feeling really really guilty. Get him out of your life by dating other people and telling him that you want to move on and please not to call you. He left you so he had a reason that made perfect sense to him not to stay with you. In addition, he actually made the decision to marry someone else and made a legal, emotional commitment to her. He could be a good friend to you, in which case he would tell you about the good things that he has found in his marrige but no, he only makes it sound dreary. He is feeling guilty and keeping you on a string because he knows he left you and he knows that you still love him - even if you haven't said it. You are not sabotaging his marriage, he is! But you are cooperating with that - and for what, a guy who chose someone else over you and is so greedy he wants access to two women (at least - and he's definitely capable of cheating on whomever he is with) in his life.
Keep him out of your life. He is your past; make a different future, for your own happiness.

It sounds like he has fears about his marriage, and wants to have a backup, in case it does not work out.

Do not tell him that you still love him. You will only get yourself into trouble. In my opinion, he is just using you. He feels unattractive since being off the market, and this is his way of trying to get his groove back. If you have an affair with him, and get caught, you will be the one to get burned.

Most likley he will go back to his wife, and you would be left out in the cold, again.

He left you, and I would leave it at that. It does not even sound as if you can be friends with him at this time.

I dated a guy like that and really he is not happy with what he has when he has it and if he were to get rid of what he has and gets what he now wants he still won't be happy.. He doesn't really want to hurt either of you.. but he can't make up his mind what he really wants and it is dangerous to try and build a relationship with someone that doesn't everyday wake up and commit himself to you.. I honestly wouldn't be more than just friends.. if that.. if he makes you feel sorry for him and makes you feel you could make him happy it is not true, just stay away..

He's seeking approval, and forgiveness, amends and to see if he's making a mistake.

Don't fall for it. Don't fall back in love with this type of person. Move on and do better!

He is being a very selfish husband to his wife. Do not speak with him anymore. Put yourself in his wife's shoes...if you were married and found out your husband was talking to his ex-girlfriend, how would you feel?
Don't let your heart override your mind...if he's doing that to her, he would do it to you.

he probably is just stressed about the wedding plans and stuff. he also probably still wants you both to be friends. just be friendly with him. whatever happens, happens for a reason.
