The skin on your nipples is a lot more sensitive than most areas on the body. It is simply dry. You are just feeling it more because it is happening on your nipples. I assume you are not nursing. Use something mild like baby oil and avoid harsh soaps until your skin has had time to heal.

Use a medical grade moisturiser like lanolin
or you could also try Nivea cream. For the time being, try using gel pads like MaterniMates or Soothies and wear it over the nipples for soothing and cooling effect.

Ignore the two morons that answered before me.
If you notice any change in your breasts you should see your doc ASAP, don't fool around as this may be serious or it may be nothing to worry about but you need to find out.

This could be an allergic reaction call your doctor. I don't like the way this sounds but it could be something very simple. I had something like that, but no pain... You will be alright.Sounds like its dry skin or something irritating them.

GET TO THE DOCTOR. It is probably not cancer but you need to rule out everything including cysts etc. Do it immediately! Do a breast exam to chekc for lumps (the good thing is that most cancerous lumps are not painful).

Are you male or female? I'm a male and I have super sensitive nipples. It was a pain at first but know I use it to my advantage. Just find you someone who will be kind to your nipples.

Hmm..
Are you on your period?
Maybe this is just normal if you're on it.
If you're not then..I hope you don't hang your clothes out to dry without ironing them because if you do, it's probably a disgusting parasite.

i think you should definitely see a doctor - doctors know best! because if you wait, and if something IS seriously wrong, you can make your condition worse
it could be something really minor, but if you're having pain i think it's serious - that's not normal
