According to my husband it's by the fact they're the best-looking people around (he's Irish btw). Personally, I find the biggest b.s.er's to be Irish-lol. Really, though, you need to ask them. Names and accents can be deceiving.

You can't. We are in hiding now. Ever since the 50's, the Irish have been held back and judged. Some of us pretend to be British, others Scottish, but we're all around you.

Their last name possibly. Most Irish people are white. Their accent if they were born there. But you never really know without asking.
