I seem to think the burgers are getting smaller but costing more.

It's big in fat & calories. Maybe that's the "big" McDonald's is referring to.

Very true, the burgers now look and weigh alot less then 5 years ago, also the price has risen. All the fast food chains have taken this approach and have slowly over the years reduced their burger sizes. However if confronted they will tell you it's their way of fighting the obesity in the country.

The burgers are so small all the Big Mac is a bun and about a pound of lettuce

yeh, they have reduced in size, maybe that's a good thing, i'm really getting turned off by McDonalds anyway, there burgers have gotten worse, especially Sylvania Macca's, the only time i can eat there is when iv'e had more than a few drinks. Karella (Sutherland shire) McDonalds is the only one i can remember of that was any good!!

You do know that there are two patties on the big mac burger, right? i didnt even realize until i had one for the second time :P
Even though something looks small, it doesn't make it less filling..

do you really need all that fat and cals?have you noticed how dramatically portion sizes have increased over the past 20 years? when before you would order a large drink it may have been about 20oz. but now a large could be anywhere between 30oz. all the way up to 42oz!

Yeah, they are not big at all. Mac'n Dons has sucked since my first bite 31 years ago and I never eat it by choice. Nasty, ill prepared garbage.

Yah. When i have to eat McD's, i opt for 2 hamburgers instead. Cheaper and more filling.
