By "private" life - I assume you mean affairs on the side? Is that what you want?
I don't think there's any laws against it - although it's goes against God's law and what he intended for marriage. But, whatever you're religious beliefs, it's not the best plan for a happy marriage.
Edit: Don't put up with him not telling you where he's going. My EX-husband tried that with me and ended spending several nights at other womens houses! Big NO NO! Despite what he thinks, you are his wife and you deserve respect and that includes knowing where he's going and when he plans on returning.

What do you mean by private life? Quite frankly, the two of you can do anything you want behind closed doors and no one is going to care.
OR
Do you mean that your husband wants to mess around and then come home and play house? If that's the case, you found yourself quite the loser.
I'd start having more discussions having to do with divorce if I were you.

Thats a game.....and if he wanted to play games, he should have stayed single.
U r married to him and have every right to know where he is and what hes doing.
I can see him taking "me" time. Thats fine, but if he is being defensive when u ask him where he is going, there is something going on.
There is no room for secrets in a marriage. Thats just trouble.

Not okay at all! Don't even let him try to fool you like that its not right and your stupid if you let him. He is trying to be single and yet be married. It's like momma always said,"You can't have your cake and eat it too." Dear that is what he is trying to do so if he wants it that way get out before it gets bad and you walk in on him with another woman or even worse he tells you he wants a divorce cus he loves someone else. +
