Can your Pokemon Pearl game be messed up by trading over wi-fi?

Because people might gameshark them and trade online, can it screw your file and everything. Was doing that a good idea to make a Gameshark code for PK Pearl?

Its not known yet, but it could carry over to a game if someone sends you a gamesharked pokemon it might affect your game it might not, its not known yet. It could go either way, but it'd be like trading a friend a gamesharked pokemon. wi-fi is just the ability to trade without a link cable with anyone in the world.
