It's difficult to say, because a miscarriage would look different at different stages of pregnancy. Early on (like at 4-6 weeks), it could be just like any other period, the later you go on (and especially after 2 missed periods), the more likely you are to suspect or know that you're miscarrying.

I have had very heavy periods with clotting and a lot of pain, but I will never truly know if I had been blessed to have gotten pregnant, and lost the baby.

If the bleeding is prolonged, or is accompanied with bad pain or high temperature then it's always best to get yourself to a Doctor, or if your next period is the same, or it seems to be happening more frequently then get it checked out too.

Wishing you lots of luck :o)

That sounds like a miscarriage, but you need to get to the doctor ASAP. you should have gone when this started. You need to be checked to one... make sure this is what it is and two make sure there isn't anything else going on. If needed they will do a DandC to make sure all the stuff is out. Make the appointment 1st thing tomorrow and tell them what has happened.
