well when i cant get my tampon out very well and it hurts a bit(BUT U SHOULD ALWAYS BE ABLE TO GET IT OUT, UNLESS YOU LOSE THE STRING) its usually because it hasnt been used up or gotten (i dont know how to say this without it sounding gross but...) umm well basically soaked with blood. ha so make sure u leave them in for the amount of time that u think is enough. It depends on how heavy of a bleeder you are. Im only heavy on the first second and third and not that much afterwards. But i go to highschool (i dont know if u do or not) but i usually change mine after every 2 periods and its worked out fine. Unless i feel like i need to change it more that day, trust me ull know. So if that helps there u go lol. Oh and also i use tampax pearl too! Good luck!

Sounds to me like you're trying to change them too often, or wearing a tampon with a higher absorbency than you need. Tampons need your period as lubrication to help them go in and come out (sorry I know that sounds yuck, but it's the truth).

I know that towards the end of my period I sometimes find them more difficult/uncomfortable to remove. Try using a panty-liner until your period is blood-red, and then go for the smallest absorbency. See how you do with this, and if you're bleeding through one in less than 2 hours then move up to the next absorbency.

I will sometimes use 3 different absorbency's in one period.

I hope this helps, if you can't get on with them very well then leave it for a few months, if you stress up then your vaginal muscles will not be as relaxed and that can also cause problems.

Good luck hon! :o)

Relax. You may be using the wrong size. Tampons come in different "sizes" or absorbancies (how much blood they absorb). Make sure you get one that is the smallest with the lightest absorbancy level you can find.

Like other's have stated, when you go to pull it out, do it slowly, relax and breathe. Sitting on a toilet can help. Making sure you don't tuck the string inside you when you insert the tampon helps too. If you still have problems, then maybe you should switch to the pads until you can master the tampon.

ok this is weird because I actually had this conversation before
1. sit on the toilet
2. wrap the string around one of your fingers
3. bear down like you are going to poop while pulling the string.
It should come right out. If it doesnt or if it feels like it is dragging you may have one with a to high of absorbancy level or have not had it in long enough. Most tampons need to be changed about every 4 hours. If you have any more problems IM me and I will try to help you out

You have to relax and gently tug on the string. Make sure your flow is heavy enough for the size that you choose. If all else fails, urinate and they will slide out easier.

If you are a young girl you do not need to use tampons until you loose your virginity because you can tear your hymen but if you insist on using tampons to get it out you have to relax your vaginal wall muscles completely and then gently pull it out.

sometimes a girls hymen isnt formed right. there is just a very small hole in the thin membrane. when the tampon expands it becomes hard to get out

there shouldnt be a problem... i know it sounds gross but if you lose the string, you are gonna have to dig right in and grab it.. then just wash your hands FULLY... its gross but tampons are the best but sometimes gets stuck!
