Look over the revision (if you did, in fact, email it). Vivid word choice/imagery using ethos, pathos, and logos should include a couple of things:
1. You should include few "telling" words and many "showing" ones. What this means, instead of saying "Ranchero Deluxe where the grass is green" say "Ranchero Deluxe where the color of the grass would make a Leprechaun proud." (AKA - use metaphors and similes (comparisons), not simple description).
2. Be sure to describe not only what the place looks like, but also what it SMELLS like, what it SOUNDS like, what it FEELS like (and, if appropriate) what it TASTES like. Those three words mean that you have to let others not only know what the place LOOKS like, but what it FEELS like to be there - use all of your sensory input to let someone feel the place.

To elaborate on your first paragraph:
The pyramids touch the sky at their highest point, and can take a full day to walk around. Their texture may look like sand from afar, but as the traveler gets close, it seems more likely made of cinammon sugar; it's an archetectural feat that the small grains of multicolored sand can be held together.

These are just one of the sights that the traveler may experience as he/she walks through the town of __________ (fill in the blank). Unlike most cities, where people will knock you over on their way to somewhere ultimately important, you'll find visitors and townfolk alike stroll about as if the day had 32 hours. Coffee houses and local bakeries fill the morning air with pleasants smells that make the mouth water, and the sounds of wind in the trees is always more prevalent than the sounds of sirens or jackhammers.

For those who enjoy shopping, ___________ offers both a cavernous mall, full of every national chain store you can think of as well as several very friendly open-air markets. In the markets, you can hear people chatting about their wares, and local artists create their masterpieces while the passers-by stop, smile, and often purchase. The Farmer's Market is especially popular where fresh produce is brought in daily. The colors burst forth as if painted on by the local artists, and the fruit is so juicy, local growers recommend that if you stand near an apple-eater, you'd better be wearing a raincoat!
