In one of the Emails he discuses investigation and Grand Jury results of a closed proceeding. This is contempt of court and when attached to a federal case it is a federal crime.
He is an adviser not a Federal Prosecutor. He has no entitlement to any Federal investigation.

It is certainly outside his office...why would he be concerned about the work of federal prosecutors...if they were really bad Gonzales would have his boss and axed them...The whole thing is related to what the fired people were fired for...not engaging in a witch hunt for Democrats? Or wanting to prosecute Republicans....Since Rove was involved, it was certainly political matter entirely...makes one suspect doesn't it? I do not remember Clinton canning any prosecutors in the face of investigating Democrats.

So what Clinton replaced over 100 during his term no media cared. Ones fired looking into whitewater and a Sen from ILL (dem) had to fire all so all fair (haha) Its a darn shame the Rep losing back bone and won't fire back up Reids, Clintons and the rest Its legal. Not only Bush and Clinton but the peanut man Carter. Dems get over it. at least Bush took his time not like the others shooting from hip. And then how many less then 10.

Asking questions is not a problem. Passing on information and/or complaints are not a problem. Firing US Attorneys is not a problem.
Firing US Attorneys because they are doing their job impartially and not according to partisan political agenda is unethical.
That's the point of the hearings -- to determine not just what happened, but WHY the individuals were fired.

I can hear it now.. "Yeah but, yeah but.. Clinton did it.." Bush has been in office seven years (next year thankfully being his last full one) and still Clinton gets blamed and drug up at every turn. When are these Republikans (Republicans spelled Soviet or Nazi Germany style for effect) gonna admit that there boy cheerleader, he, the decider (formerly in the hard cider) is a professional
Nitwit?.....

Rove is calculated evil and should rot under the jail for undermining the US constitution and the voting process.
If the US justice department can not be impartial and free of intimidation, how then can justice be served?
