I suspect my mom is and today I tried hiding it in a new place and placing something on it to see if anyone moved it. Well it was moved. but I don't want to just ask her if she is upfront.

Well first don't jump to the conclusion that it's her. Do you have any siblings? Are they the type to look through your stuff? I used to read my older sister's journal all the time. But if you DEFINITELY know it's not one of your siblings then just tell your mom that you have a feeling someone has been reading your journal and let her know you're really bothered by it. She should own up to it because I'm sure she doesn't want you to be upset and she doesn't want to compromise your relationship either.

Hope things work out!

I'm a mom and I guarantee she is reading it...however you might want to know that it is not always for the reason you think...spying...we also read to make sure everything is ok and how we can make things better for you...were Moms thats what we do! and if this is an everyday occurance do know that is overkill but moms do periodically check in on their kids just to make sure your doing ok...

Can you ask a trick question, like something sneaky that only someone reading your journal would know?

you could take a long hair and tape it to front and back covers. Just put a note in your journal and be honest w/whoever is reading it. sorry your privacy is being violated. that is just wrong.

If you think she's reading it, she is. I would get another journal and carry it with me. If you stop writing in your current one, she'll have to stop reading it. Your journal is your journal, and no one has a right to it.

Write that you are pregnant and not sure what to do. In big red letters. Then you will know.
