I`m hard of hearing, and use a hearing aid, I`m having problems with my cell phone, there is to much noise when I put the phone close to the hearing aid, like static. I was wondering if there is a cell phone that I can use with a hearing aid or one with good quality of voice and a lot of volume?

Depending on what type of hearing aid you have there is a way to program the hearing aid to work better with most telephones, including your cell phone. Cell phones are now legally required to be compatible with hearing aids equiped with a telecoil. This receives a magnetic signal from your phone instead of an acoustic one. Your hearing aid may or may not have a telecoil (t-coil); ask your audiologist. You should tell your audiologist about the problem, sometimes there are subtle changes that can be made to the hearing aid to fix the static issue.

Most cell phones with adjustable volume controls work very well, but former patients really liked Sanyo and Motorola phones the best. I would recommend you visit an actual store for your cell provider and test the phones out before buying a new one!
