The lyrics include, "Ain't no way I'm gonna be your whippin boy-No-" my husband heard it years and years ago and doesn't know who sang it?? any thoughts?

Well he listened, not Ben Harper and I can't find a Black Crowes song named Whippin Boy. He heard it around 1991-1992 on VVX if you remember that radio station.

Could be "whippin' post" by the Allman brothers..or The black Crows "Whippin' Boy"..These two songs just jumped into my head..hope this helps...Phil

I don't know but try this. You can type in a phrase from a song and it will show which songs have the words in it. It may help.
