I wouldn't say it was rude. Rude is not exactly the word. But it is unthoughtful. If he was aware that it was your 2nd anniversary, then I he should have been there. Then again maybe he was expecting something special too. It sounds like no one really made any plans to do anything on this special day. At least neither one of you were aware of what the other had planned. Surprises are nice, but is also a good idea to say to your partner, "please reserve tonight for something special". It just common courtesy. I know most of the time we assume. But that just makes an *** U ME. Its important to just say something to make the other person aware and that you haven't forgotten.

Do not be mad until you know what is going on. If he went just to go and forgot your anniversary then you have the right to get mad. But I would think that he should take you to the beach instead of just the dog. Good luck and hope everything goes well.

Maybe he's actually out getting you a great present and he'll be home in a few minutes. Or he forgot and really went to walk the dog at the beach.

I have to say that I haven't been married for 50 yrs but I have been married for 7. Some days it feels like 50 and other a year. I can't say we did much for our 2 year anniversary, but for our 5 year we did something special. I personally don't think that every year can be something huge. Maybe you two can agree on certain years that you feel are important mile stones and do something extravagant.

If he actually went to the beach with the dog, that's very rude. If he comes home with a surprise, that's romantic. You'll just have to wait a bit to see.

If he actually forgot or didn't care, let him know he's a jerk.

O boy! someone is going to be sleeping in the dog house tonight. He may of really forgotten, some guys just don't get it when it comes to important dates. Well if you had a fancy dinner planned , just put some kibble and bits on his plate. Wouldn't want him to go to bed hungry. LOL sorry guys can be so clueless at times.

I'm not sure...I'd be confused more than mad.

It's either, he forgot that was anniversary or he remembered, and planning something special for you.

Wait and see. If he did happen to forget, you should be mad. No need to stress out about it till end of the day. Relax and see what you can do to surprise him for anniversary(express how you didn't forget!)

Well you won't know until he comes home from walking the dog. The question should be "What am I going to do if he forgot our anniversary"???

Take him out for your anniversary when he gets home. don't let this get to you if others areas of your relationship are great.

that doesnt sound right to just load up and go to the beach with the dog, when it is 45 minutes away. you might want to be concerned. then again maybe theres mixed emotions with him. but i wouldnt call it over reacting i would be pissed if it were me. good luck with it. but first you need to find out why this person just left a note and didnt ask you to go, or didnt call you .

That is EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!!!! But before doing anything, see if he has anything special planned for you later. If tomorrow comes and he still hasn't come through, THEN you can beat him up and have fun doing it! haha. Good luck!!! And happy 2 year anniversary!
